Hosts triumph at Reckon-sponsored British Polo Day Abu Dhabi 2024

British Polo Day Abu Dhabi 2024, which Reckon Financial Services was the official technology sponsor for, drew to a close with host team side Iron Pillar Ghantoot closing the occasion with a memorable victory against the Royal Salute British Exiles team. VistaJet AbuDhabi had previously secured a comfortable win in the opening match as the event raised $18,898 for the Big Change charity.

The charity, founded in 2012 by the Branson family and Princess Beatrice, works to connect, support, and fund organisations and individuals that create positive change for young people. Big Change is backed by Virgin Unite — the independent non-profit organisation of the Virgin Group — which cover’s the charity’s overheads to ensure 100% of funds raised go to projects the charity is working on.

Held annually in multiple locations across the world, British Polo Day Abu Dhabi brings together prominent and distinguished individuals to form mutually beneficial connections and raise money for philanthropic causes. Since it's forming, the event has raised nearly $3.1million dollars for causes important to the hosts in each country.

The event was attended by a number of notable guests, including His Excellency Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General ofTourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism for Abu Dhabi, renowned spinal and neurosurgeon Sebastian Koga, and David Ko, owner of the South Korea PoloClub.
